We are looking for Patient Service Representatives with excellent organizational and administrative skills.
Position Summary: Our Patient Service Representatives are responsible for patient registration activities, face-to-face check in and check-out procedures, insurance verification, cash collections, services’ coding, chart reconciliation and coordination of patient care.
Work Hours:
- In Person NOT remote: This position does NOT has flexibility to work remotely. This position has direct contact with our patients, and it must be done onsite in the office.
- Hours: We are open Monday – Friday from 730 am until 430 pm. Typical start time is around 720-740 and finish time is typically around 415-445p. All staff are required to rotate with each other to cover the early (720 start with an appropriate 415-430 end) and the later times (740-745 start with an approximate 430-445 end).
- We are open to our team working part-time, but can’t be flexible on the start/end times mentioned above. So, part-time with us would be the option of working 3 or 4 days – must be able to work the hours posted above.
Education, Experience and Skills Requirement:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Strong computer skills (i.e., knowledgeable at opening software/email, navigating keyboards) required
- Demonstrated ability to be incredibly detail-oriented.
- Requires strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions

Children’s Eye Care is one of the largest pediatric ophthalmology practices in the country. The professional staff consists of eight doctors and seven orthoptists. There are three suburban offices and the clinic at Children’s Hospital of Michigan in downtown Detroit. Residents from all of the four residency programs in Detroit come to Children’s Hospital of Michigan for their education about our sub-specialty. Our providers are also involved in research projects and lecture on a national level.

Children’s Eye Care is one of the largest pediatric ophthalmology practices which offers the combination of private practice, teaching and academics.
Children’s Eye Care was founded in the early 1970s and continues to grow. The professional staff consists of eight pediatric ophthalmologists, seven orthoptists and 50 employees over four locations. Three locations are private clinics located throughout metropolitan Detroit. The academic clinic is located in Detroit at Children’s Hospital of Michigan. Children’s Eye Care’s academic clinic is privately owned and consists of training (26) residents from all four residency programs in Detroit and (50) students from two medical schools. We also have an AUPO certified pediatric ophthalmology fellowship as well as an AOC approved orthoptic program. Our practice is also involved in research projects and very involved in our national and regional communities.
As a privately owned group pediatric ophthalmology practice, we have the privilege of working with a close group of peers that all have the same goals in medical care and business development as well as teaching and community involvement.
