Dr. Bohra joined Children’s Eye Care in 2002. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the department of ophthalmology at Wayne State University and Clinical Professor of ophthalmology at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. Her primary hospital affiliations are Children’s Hospital of Michigan and William Beaumont Hospital (Royal Oak). She is also on staff at Providence Hospital. Dr. Bohra practices comprehensive pediatric ophthalmology which includes the treatment of pediatric/infantile cataracts and glaucoma, retinopathy of prematurity, disorders of the nasolacrimal system, and pediatric and adult strabismus. She sees patients in our Clinton Township, Detroit and West Bloomfield offices.
Dr. Bohra teaches fellows as well as residents from multiple programs in the Detroit metropolitan area. She also gives lectures to pediatricians and other physicians in the community to help increase awareness of pediatric eye disease.
She is a member of the American Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association and Michigan Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
She’s been recognized as a “Top Doctor” by US News and World Health, as well a continually honored as a “Top Doctor” by Hour Detroit.
She is the mother of three young boys and is empathetic to the concerns of parents and the need to provide a comforting environment for the child to be examined while providing expert care.
